Regional Gathering 2026
Dear Future Church
Midwest Central Regional Gathering | October 18-20, 2026
The Vineyard Church | Urbana, IL
We are so encouraged by how God is moving powerfully across the Midwest Central Region with salvations, baptisms, and deep hunger, especially among young people. At last summer’s National Conference, Jay gave us a clear and compelling charge to invest deeply in the next generation so that the next 50 years of the Vineyard are marked by the same fruitfulness as the first five decades.
With that in mind, our theme for this year’s Regional Gathering is “Dear Future Church.” We’re asking God to help us see the church of tomorrow and faithfully steward it today. We dream of churches where every generation is flourishing together! Where children encounter Jesus, young people embrace their calling, adults continue growing as disciples, and seasoned saints pass on wisdom and encouragement. We envision communities marked by the presence of the Holy Spirit, rooted in the way of Jesus, and raising up leaders, pastors, and church planters who will carry the mission forward. As we look to the future, we want to honor what we’ve been given while embracing the fresh work God is doing among us right now.
One of our anchor passages comes from Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians. Paul paints a picture of a people who are being transformed by the Spirit, rooted in truth, strengthened by grace, and filled with hope for the future. As we look toward the future church, our desire is the same: to be a people who hold tightly to what God has given us, while courageously investing in the next generation so that His work continues to flourish for years to come.
As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation—a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth. He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.
2 Thessalonians 2:13-17 NLT
